The CIT library is home to our Origins short fiction collection, along with notes and audio files containing advice and content from recent CIT events.

Origins - Short Fiction Collection

is a collection of short fiction commissioned by CIT and a selection of flash fiction from the annual CIT Flash Fiction Competition, now in its third year.

The collection is about starting points – either thematically, or professionally – for those writers featured here whose work has never been published before.

We are delighted to feature The DNA of Bats by Jane Rogers, a co-commission with Manchester Literature Festival, alongside work by authors who submitted stories to CIT’s annual flash fiction competition. The competition is judged by a panel of published authors and aims to offer publishing opportunities to writers of micro-fiction.

Artwork for Origins is designed by Jen Hingley.

You can download the collection free here Origins_2015.
